About Mahi Foundation
Mahi Foundation was founded by Vidya Bengude—a woman from a rural background who pursued her education after marriage and motherhood, proving that determination can overcome any barrier. With over 10 years of experience as a counsellor, she envisioned a platform that gives back to society. Her personal journey inspired the core values of Mahi Foundation—resilience, compassion, and equality. The foundation primarily focuses on empowering women and educating the girl child, especially those from single-parent or underprivileged families.Mahi Foundation operates in remote and tribal areas where access to education and hygiene is limited or non-existent.We run awareness programs on menstrual hygiene and distribute eco-friendly sanitary pads to rural women and girls.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to build a society where every child, regardless of their socio-economic background, has access to quality education and equal opportunities. We aim to create a future where women are empowered, informed, and treated with dignity. By uplifting rural and remote communities, we strive to break the cycle of poverty and promote inclusive development. We envision becoming a beacon of hope for the marginalized, encouraging sustainable growth and social equity for generations to come.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to bridge the gap between privilege and poverty through dedicated and impactful social initiatives. We are committed to providing free education to children from underprivileged families, especially those engaged in labor-intensive work like farming and brick kiln jobs. We focus on enhancing women’s health and self-respect by promoting menstrual hygiene and eco-friendly practices. Through grassroots community development, we aim to create long-term positive change. Our work is rooted in transparency, compassion, and a deep commitment to social justice.
